Hi! I’m Hayley.

hobby dabbler and sometimes professional based in the East Bay.

I graduated from UC Berkeley with a major in Anthropology and minor in History of Art, concentrating in anthropologies of the contemporary and artistic conceptions of home, demarcations of the private and public, and spatial aesthetics, all of which continue to influence my interests in art, craft, and labor today.

At the moment, I work in editorial project management at an arts nonprofit, where I read words and make sure they sound okay and are printed on time.

I’ve previously worked in video games, book publishing, libraries and museum spaces, a biological anthropology lab collection, a grocery store, and a retirement home.

I also define my self-worth by what I like to do in my free time. Right now, this includes experiments in sewing, crochet, knitting, and photography, and in the past has included miniatures and independent research and writing.
